01 — The direction
Give the rooma direction.
A good lighting show has somewhere to go. Quieter looks give the big moments room to land. Joe Faratzis designs the looks for your music and your room, then runs them live from the desk, reading the band and the crowd as it happens. When a show has to land identically every night, the same looks lock to timecode.
The ingredients

Tell us the room, the music and the moment you want. The rig scales from a compact setup for a small bar to a full stage package, and the plan is yours to shape: leave the choices to us, or ask for specific looks and effects and we will build them into the plan. Run live on the night, or locked to timecode when the show has to land identical.

This rack is a starting point, not the limit: any count or style of moving head, wash, bar or effect can be brought in to hit the look you are after. Every look is planned before doors by a show designer and run by hand on the night, never auto-run to sound.

Fixtures picked for the room
Beams, wash, pixel bars, strobes, blinders, haze: the right types and counts for the space and the budget. Ours, the venue’s or a mix.
An operator at the desk
The looks are run live to the music, all night. When a set is locked and has to repeat identically, we program it to timecode instead.

Date, venue, the kind of set and any references. A playlist or a set list and a couple of photos of the room are plenty.
We pick the ingredients
Fixture types, a palette and a handful of looks, sized to the room and the budget. We agree what we bring, what the venue has and the load-in window.
Show night, run live
Load-in, focus, a quick check with the band or DJ, then the operator runs the night to the music. Timecode only when the show has to be identical every time.

Can you work with the venue’s existing lights?
Often, yes. Send the fixture list and how it is controlled; we check compatibility and access, then add only what the room is missing.
Do you supply equipment as well as the operator?
Yes. The quote lists what Projected Reality brings, what the venue provides and any extra rental, and the gear is confirmed for your date.
Is the show run live or pre-programmed?
By default the show runs live: an operator runs designed looks to the music as it happens, so nothing has to be locked in advance. If a set is fixed and must land identically every time, for a livestream, a tour or a launch, we program it to timecode.
How much does live lighting cost?
It depends on the room, the fixture types, the show length and whether it runs live or to timecode. A live-run night in a small room is the lightest scope; send the details for a clear quote.
